What is Cabbage Ball?
Cabbage Ball is a sport played similar to baseball and softball, but without the need of gloves.  The Cabbage Ball is a 17" ball that is a cost-efficient and safe way for children to compete against one another in any environment.  Adults and Children of New Orleans have been playing Cabbage Ball for decades on playgrounds, corner lots, and in schools.  Cabbage Ball has never left the vacinity of New Orleans, so we felt it was time to allow the sport to evolve into other cities nationwide and eventually countries worldwide.  Cabbage Ball is already played in all schools in the New Orleans area, so now it's time to allow the children from other schools across the nation to play!  Our schools can help the evolution of Cabbage Ball by giving children the opportunity not only to exercise but to play a sport that is fun, competitive, and safe.

Why is Cabbage Ball great for schools?

In Cabbage Ball games, no gloves are needed!
Cabbage Ball games can be played in any size area, large or small, including school blacktops and gymnasiums.
Cabbage Balls are soft and safe. Once the ball is broken in, the ball will become even softer.
The life of a Cabbage Ball can last years without needing replacement.
Frank Davis talks about Cabbage Ball on WWL Channel 4 New Orleans.  The video displays Cabbage Ball can be played anywhere!  Whether it's a gym, playground, or in the school yard, blacktop or grass, let the game go on!
